well, i would like it to be something extravagant where all my relatives and dearest friends, my husbands as well be there. i would like it to be something extraordinary.. as of the moment i havent thought of the motiffs, set up and where would my wedding be held...
how about you? would it be a church wedding, or a garden wedding? or would it be something unique that no one has ever thought of doing it yet???

i had the "dream traditional" wedding. pretty garden, lots of flowers, georgeous dress, tuxes, horses & carriage, etc etc. and everything went wrong.. including the marriage LOL the set-up wasnt what *I* wanted, but that of someone else, and it was a completely horrible day. second time around i had everything i wanted. held in a park at the site of an old gris mill with waterfalls and rivers and flowering trees, absolutely beautiful surroundings and atmosphere. kept simple and unpretentious n every aspect imagineable, i didnt even bother with make-up or shoes for that matter, and walked barefoot through the grass in a flowy off-the-rack dress with flowers in my hair and married the man of my dreams, who i still love all consumingly ( 9 years next week ) the recption as well was kept simplistic and laid back, and everyone there enjoyed themselves so much, including us, that the cut of time of merriment of 6pm extended until well past nine, and people only started thinking about leaving after it started to downpour. a truly perfect day and everything i ever dreamed of.

honestly? id LOVE to LOL i love planning parties and such and have a wonderful time doing it lol just added point.. the big to-do wedding i had the first time we had the cake made by a "professional" and it suxxored and actually leaned like the tower of pisa, not to mention it tasted like sawdust with sugar on it. second time around i made the cake myself ( wish i could figger out how to load pics into messages ) three teir w/ white frosting, purple and green vines, daisies, with three dragons supporting a crystal ball as the top. not only was it georgeous to look at.. i had to gaff the top so it wouldnt be all gone at the end of the day because it was devoured! lol

oh im not a catholic myself so i guess it would be better if my wedding would not be held in a church. im not saying it is a boring place to spend my wedding but maybe i wanted it to be more extraordinary and unique..

we had a biker wedding in our front yard. It was great. The preacher was a biker and everyone parked their bikes out front. In fact, our alter was a chopper my husband had built!! We had a really great time.

My wedding day was one of the happiest days of my life. I married a really good friend of mine who I can honestly say is now by best friend. We had a church wedding (we are both Christian) and invited a lot of friends and relatives. It was somewhat of a big wedding and a pretty traditional ceremony. We then had our banquet at a nice restaurant nearby and we enjoyed it a lot. My wife wasn't one of those people who had an idea of her 'perfect' wedding but now thinks there are some things she would have liked to change. The main thing she regrets a little is that it was not very unique. As I mentioned, it was more traditional and somewhat similar to many other weddings we had been attending the past year or two before we got married. When you do get married and have your wedding I would encourage you to take time to make it unique and (within reason) include everything you want as this will be one of the most important days of your life.

Hello dear slbh12. I did not go to the church to have my wedding day, but a very ordinary but traditional one like many people did or do. I think that it is very interesting to have the wedding day in the church as we could be blessed by the priest. Thanks for your discussion, dear skbh.

It would be a smaller, but not too small, elegant but cozy, friendly, moving and not stuck-up, snobbish and stiff. As I'm not religious, I don't think I would have a church wedding. Otherwise, I've had lots of different ideas for decoration and stuff, so...
