I need some help. I am having trouble keeping my 5 year old entertained. It's not that she has a short attention span I think she is just bored because she isn't in school for the next couple of days. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can have her do while I am busy doing the stuff that I need to do? Any help would be really appreciated. TIA

How about playdough? my daughters are 4 and almost 2 they love this and as long as I put a mat on the floor leaving them while i clean up do housework isnt a problem the 4 year old knows to not throw it etc.
Stickers are a great one some paper and a load of stickers crayons let her make some pictures.
Or failing that get her to help you round the house a little bit, like if im doing the washing the girls help put it in the washer or dryer, or I give them a duster to help me and then when its done we can all sit down and play they love helping!

You can make her paint or play some board games with her while you are not that busy. If she has other siblings, they might find somethings to play with. Sometimes I do math with with my daughter or just read a nature book from the library. Videos from the library are also an excellent source of entertainment. If she knows some vocabulary you can ask her to make some words.
