Do you have a gun, and why?

A few years back, I took a job where it was necessary for me to carry a weapon, and wear a bullet proof vest for my safety. After getting the proper permit, I took my gun to the range, and my husband gave me a few lessons on safety, and shooting. I found I enjoyed going shooting. I feel I can protect myself now, and others if the need arises. I refuse to be one of the women grabbed by a bad guy, and unable to fight back. I am over 50, and handicapped, but I refuse to become a victim. I've been there, and done that, and don't want to repeat it! I have found too that it is fun to go with a group of friends, and try out different rifles and pistols. I've learned a lot about guns, and myself.
