After much procrastination and a lot of up-in-the-air'ed-ness, the big boss finally came back with my last official day of the job. April 12th is my last day, and I have to admit I'm a little happy, a little sad, and a little nervous and bit relieved.
My replacement starts next week, so I get to spend that time training her. That brings the finality home a little bit.
This is either the best or worst decision of my life. I guess time will tell.

Hello Filmbuff,
While I definitely understand your trepidation, I hope that this move opens up many new, exciting, and rewarding doors for you.
Do you know what you would like to do in the immediate future?
Congratulations, and may you find only the best, my friend!

Good luck friend. I did that same thing 6 months ago but I didnt give them notice. They were trying to get rid of me because one of the bosses didnt like me. It is really hard right now to find another job. I would suggest signing up with some temp agencies in your area so that you will have some money coming in while you are looking for another job. I wish you all the luck in this HORRIBLE job market.
