It is really bad when we hear about what is happening in China but how come when such things happen only in certain countries that the big power such as the US would try to do something to stop it but when it comes to a very long outstanding issues between the Palestine and Israel, the US would not want to do something to stop it? Aren't the Palestinians just people like all of us?
Anyway, I think they should move the Olympic somewhere else...

the Olympic should move to somewhere else? not in China? why did you say that?
we admit one illegal bloc in Tibet, China did some voilent actions wanting to be independent. but China government has already taken measures to solve this problem. as far as now, none of governments in the world declares they will boycott the Beijing Olympic games.
just as our Prime Minister Wen Jiabao said, our country is still a developing country, we try to avoid all kinds of prombles may be took place in olympic games. but our attempt to hold Olympic successfully is pure-hearted and sincere.
we believe we 1.3 billion Chinese people smile to the world, and the world will smile to China.

I think the Olympics are over commercialised as it is, so don't really get into the spirit of it. Having said that, I did work at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, but that was different. I was working in the hospitality tents out at the Equestrian centre, right where I wanted to be.
Competative sports are way to narky for me. That is, I can't stand it when people blame others for their own failures instead of looking inside themselves for where they went wrong.
As for what you are talking about, I tend to not listen to the news because it is just way too depressing these days. Only interested in the local weather.

Hello, tony!it is no use boycotting the olimpics to be hoisted in China in a few months from now.it should be kept out of politics.if Chinese government has done something wrong in Tibet, let the matter be solved by the supper powers at government level.by boycutting the olimpics the Tibetian issue can not be solved.the Tibet issue is a long standing issue since 1950.it should have been solved long since.but the supper powers took no interest so far.so in my opinion no country should boycott the olimpic games as it would serve as a platform for establishing good relationship between countries.thank you.

i personally would look at it from two angles, firstly the chinese government need to convince people that it is capable of making ammendments and will ensure things are ok when people come down for the olymppics, secondly i will want to ask is olympics about politics or a competition to foster and display spoeting skills and entertainment for people?

Why would they boycott the Olympics? The US did it in 1980 and then the communist bloc did it for LA, nothing good came out of it. Besides,if you start searching you would have a reason to boycott every country in the world from hosting the games and you might as well just end the games altogether.

i know what happened in china because i am a chinese and i live in china. it's not so serious as people from other countries said. they were just a few conflicts in tibet and at present the conflicts are stopped by chinese government. it will not have a bad effect on the olympics. so i don't think people should boycott the olympics in china. it is the first time that china have the right to hold the olympic games and it is a good oppotunity to develop economy in china. so i hope that the olympics will be held in china very well.

Nonono...It couldn't happen.Athough there were many things happen to China these days,I think we can defeat it.Yes,all the things that happen is want to stop the Olympics hold in China. But I think they will fail at last and they will be punished one day.I also will do my beat to prevent this kind of things happen and I'm waiting for the success.

Have you got any news articles or anything explaining this? I am ashamed to admit I know nothing about the situation in China or why people might boycott the Olympics.
