Do you hate gangster movies?

I am so sick of Hollywood producing about 3 or 4 gangster movies minimum a year. I don't get why they think this degenerate lifestyle appeals to so many people. It is the same old thing done over and over and over again. It is like every gangster movie is a watered down version of either the Godfather, Scarface or Goodfellas. I don't see it as a glamorous or dangerous lifestyle, just one that is cowardly and dishonest. I just feel these movies are so unoriginal and promote a lifestyle that is unethical. I would like to challenge Hollywood scriptwriters to come out with something original and entertaining in film instead of these cheeseball copycat films.
