Doing or mere thinking of doing something-what do you prefer?

Many times we come across situations when we think we must do something, but we are confused/sometimes afraid if we should really do it or not.
When we see a puppy by the roadside our heart says pick it up,but we are afraid to get bitten. We have two thoughts while helping a stranger-to help him or not.
Have you ever had such a conflict of decision-when you merely think or really do what you think?

there are a lot of times when we think a lot of things to do ...... but we do not let those thoughts to materialise.
if that occurs to often then we may be called a " thoughts good for nothing person".
also there are times when we really want to do something, but here there are other things that keep us so pre occupied that we never care for the thoughts that we had for doing some work.
every day indeed we come across situations that demand to take a decision.... but at that time we may.... i mean we should feel that the conflict in our mind should not let us take a decision that will affect the people around us adversely....

its heartbreaking to realize that there come a lot of occasions in life where we need to stand up and speak our thoughts and yet, knowing this, very disappointingly do not. i know of such times where i am torn between the urge to speak my mind and yet wonder what kind of a response will i get from the opposite person. its a great disappointment when the opposite person(s) concerned aren't on your level of thinking. either they are shallow or then not concerned at all. this is a major problem i have faced since i speak up quite a lot of times. and in my years of travel and doing so i have learned whom to approach and how and when to sit tight and not speak up.

Well diamond, that is the problem witi the most of us. We do think, before doing something, what the out come will be. Nevertheless, it is just one form of our fear of the unknown. And sometimes we feel like we are gonna hurt someone. Many of the times our fears are baseless though. And not speaking out, for the fear of hurting someone, proves to be more damaging than could have been if we spoke.
Have a good day.

Thats true and i completely agree. If somebody hasn't done anything good, then the person is an ordinary one. People think but don't act. Those are extra ordinary people who think as well as do what they think. Irrespective of what the outcome will be and what they have to do.
