wouldn't it be nice if everyone could start discussions

I have seen and responded to this type of news based discussion on myLot. I only respond to discussions that interest me or where I have something to add, so I don't take part in those about what's for lunch etc. But some myLotters do like those sort of discussions, so they have their place. I think you will find there is a big range of topics, if you explore the discussion list, add new interests and new friends, you may find there are more than you thought. It is worth remembering that myLot members live in different time zones, and topics move down the list very quickly, so you may have missed some good ones which began when you were sleeping.

Well, it would be nice if everyone can post but we can't earn much by starting discussions. We earn more by responding to discussions. Anyone can post anything. We are not limited to what topic we can post as long as they are bound by rules.

Myself I like a discussion with some meat to it. And a discussion about the last things that you put here are just not interesting to me. I am not saying that I have never responded to them but the post I respond to the most are the ones that make you think. I do copy and post articles that I think that people will be interested in. Something that makes them think. I think those are the most interesting discussions to respond to.

yes, I sometimes feel that it is unfair that we can't copy and paste items in mylot. There are also discussions there that sound pretty stupid like do you eat with your left hand or your right? What's even more stupid is when they make the top discussions. :(
