ive pleased that ive got a lot of responses..yes, we do share the same sentiments that the movie does not justify the book..but we have to remember that the movie is only good for 2 and a half hours..so it only get what they seem to be important to convey the message of the book..wanna hear from you..

Yes, I agree. It must be a lot of hard work to put a 500+ page book into a 2 1/2 hour movie. But let us remember that the movies are there to give us the description of the places they have described in the book, and of course to make the wizarding world come alive in film. its a pleasant lot of films though.

As you said, the movie has only a limited time to keep and sustain the interest of the watcher. It has to sometimes disect the book until it occassionally is hard to believe it is FROM the book(ie...based on the book). But both serve a purpose and that is to entertain the customer.Sometimes the message of the book is lost in the movie's special effects or is cut just due to time.I like to read the book as that allows me a focal point when I see the movie.
By the way.....Welcome to MyLot!
