Should students be required to wear uniforms at school?

Yup, why not? I guess there's no problem...if one is not comfortable to wear a uniform, then he should choose a school that does not require one...that's freedom of choice...one can't just ask a school to change its policy just because a few are not comfortable with it...for me, if the school requires it, we should abide with it...take it, or leave it...it's supposed to be for identification purposes, and it's also a part of the training and formation of students.

I think the dress code in schools should be stricter, that's for sure. I used to see girls who would come to school dressed like Britney Spears and nobody - not even a teacher or faculty member - ever said anything even though their outfits were clearly violating the dress code. Uniforms would help to justify appropriate or inappropriate clothing for school...

I think that students should have a strickter dress code then what they have now, girls are showing way too much skin and boys are wearing things that are too baggy. I wore a uniform in school and so do my sons, and we both like it just the same, I think that uniforms teach a great lesson in proper dressing habits, which is a good thing.
