If its a comparison of manga and anime of the same title, for me, it now depends on the content of the story itself. If its action based, its more better and more comprehensible if you have it animated.
Then again, some contents aren't always carried over in the animated versions. Animated versions of certain titles are restricted in certain aspects while manga could very well cover anything that the author so wishes to present.
Such constrictions, could an animated version capture every detail within one and a half to two hours of video, compared to two or more hours of reading the manga? Episode count and on. Loyalty to the manga of a certain anime.
For me, I still prefer manga over anime, even if the animation came first, I'd still prefer a manga version since mangas would certainly give other details that the anime wasn't able to give out.

We aren't really certain about such things. Fillers are quite interesting in the sense that it further develops characters in terms of description and building them up for viewers to fully appreciate. Sometimes, fillers also provide viewers variety. Not all viewers are content with just the linear story. They do wonder about other situations for the characters they fancy.

ratyz5, you are right, but what bother me sometimes the animated version might contains annoying fillers (like naruto and bleach) and sometimes the original story will be shortened (like FMA and samuraideeperkyo). Don't you think so? Anyway thanks for ur comment.

I like both equally. And it differs from series to series on if there are different arcs or something like that.

Not really. I enjoy getting into each just as much. I mean, the manga gives a better in depth story and can offer better scripts. But anime is nice because you can watch it and it is visually more appealing than most manga.

I've been getting into manga lately so right now I like reading because they can go more into depth. Unless its a high action manga like Bleach or Naruto with fight scenes...those are best as an anime. So in a way...I like both because they have good factors. The mangas are always ahead of the anime if they follow the same storyline. sometimes the anime doesn't do everything that was mentioned in the manga so you end up watching the anime, then reading the manga.

Hmm. It depends on me as well. If its an action anime, I'd prefer to see it animated since I think you get a better feel of it when its actually happening. .something
that drawings cannot convey as well. But if its like shojo with romance and stuff, I'd like to see both, but the manga is usually a lot more detailed, so I'd PREFER the manga, but its also fun to watch in anime form. (: I'm an overall anime person anyway lol. I love Naruto seeing animated because I am way too behind in the manga. . .

Hmm.. that is hard.. but for the most part I think I would love the manga more since its the origin of all animes and it has the full story of every anime.
I started to like anime but now I'm more addicted to manga.

It depends on the series for me. The first manga I remember reading was Hana Yori Dango, because of the weird sudden tie-up ending the anime series had, and I found out the manga was still coming out and wanted to know what was really supposed to happen. Later, the same thing happened for me with Fruits Basket. In those types of series, where there's more character interaction and relationships than fighting, I like the manga better, I think.
On the other hand, when it comes to titles with a lot of action, I'd really rather watch the anime. It can be hard to tell exactly what's going on sometimes during manga fight scenes. I'm currently reading Naruto manga, but every time there's a fight scene I find myself thinking: I can't wait to see this animated! Too many of the manga fight scenes just come out as blobs of dark ink or flurries of motion lines, to the point where sometimes you can't tell exactly what happened. It's not just a flaw of Naruto, but most action-type manga I've read.
So I'd have to say typically you could probably say I like shounen-anime and shoujo-manga, though there are some exceptions!

hm....i can tell ur a fan of naruto. you know, i'm disappointed when sasuke and itachi draw on chap 394. and im really agree with u, when i read dgrayman manga, its really hard to see the fighting actions in manga and sometimes i must use my own imagination to explain the situation. Im waiting if there's kurozakuro anime sooner, hopefuly there'll be. And i'm tired of waiting when one piece will end, both anime and manga.
anyway thanks for your comment

I like both of them .
I like mangas because when I download them ,their size are smaller than animes lol :D .
but when you read mangas ,it's just the "picture" ,without sounds etc so it doesn't feel like it's really "live" .
I like animes ,because they are "live-er" than mangas .
but yea .. when I download them ,it takes much time to do it .
because my connection is very slow ,and their size are big ,

It depends. Some anime don't do justice to the manga, yet at the same time some manga are harder to keep up with than the anime. I try to both read the manga and watch the anime.
