Someone started a discussion in the Make Extra Money category and it looks

so interesting. You have a lot of ideas to share. But the very first thing you notice is someone posted a referral link in the discussion. Do you
1)ignore the discussion because you know it's going to be deleted? OR
2)do you take your chances and join the discussion?
I personally have stopped respodining to these discussions. Some of these posts scim by the radar and I earn money from them. Might be a slow day for the "mylot police" and they decide to check again. Zip! My earnings are gone, right along with that discussion. What a waste of my time and a big lesson learned. Just me, but what do you think?

It looks like I'm in the majority...the NOT posting majority that is. :-)
I would however post if there was something I wanted clarified or better yet, I would PM the person.

It used to turn me off too but then I remember being a new mylotter myself. Looks like the non posters are gaining the lead.

I post anyway. Even if the discussion gets deleted and my earnings get taken away, I feel I have good ideas to share. Someone may get something from my post before it gets deleted, and that is my primary purpose of posting. Even if it does get deleted, at least I have reached that one person that liked my idea.

Now you have me thinking with this insightful comment. Your way of thinking never even crossed my mind. I was only thinking of my post getting deleted and losing earnings. Well, my friend, I see I have a lot more to learn. People can say things a thousand times and it will be that one comment that is said in a different way that gets one to see the light. You know what I mean?

I totally understand. People comprehend in different ways. What's totally understandable to one person may fly over the head of another.
As far as earnings are concerned, I have said it before and I will say it again. The people who earn the most here are the ones who aren't concerned with earning in the first place. Those that post one word responses to discussions, trying to get their post count up, they take forever to reach payout, sometimes they quit before even reaching payout. But those that post simply to give information, those that have good content in their discussions, those are the ones who reach payout each month, regardless of their referrals, if they have any. Those that are here solely for the experience and spirit of MyLot, those are the ones who gain the most benefit from this site, not only in money, but in knowledge as well.

I will try to get into the discussion. Because I might find a new way of earning that I haven't known beforehand. Even if the discussion will be deleted, and my earnings decreased, I could still make it up with posting more here. And I could also earn from this new site. Unlike if I ignored the discussion, then I didn't learn anything new because I tried to play safe. And I'll only be limiting myself to just one site.
Maybe it would be a waste of time. But I believe that learning is more important. And trying is also important. A few minutes and some cents are just small consequences.

Don't get me wrong, I STILL READ the discussion - I just dont post. You are right about learning new stuff and missing great opportunities. Really appreciate your comment.

I usually take a chance. Unless they are asking for money then no.
I would hope someone would take a chance on me.

I really cherish all my earnings on MyLot, so I try not to get involved in discussions that have chances of being deleted, and the participants penalized. I already had these sad moments when my discussions were deleted and my earnings reduced. However, it never hurts just to read an interesting discussion, without getting into it. Just for additional info-)

I totally agree! Since I dont have any active referrals, I cherish all my hard work on Mylot too!
