How to get more money!!!

As you may know I have been searching for a job. I am actually really glad to say that I didn't get the first one I applied for - it was a callcentre and the only reason I wanted it was cos I got 3 days off a week, sometimes four.
I was really starting to worry that I needed a job ASAP and so the other night I was on Gumtree and saw a job that was perfect for me. Sandwich Bar!!! Basically just making coffees, clearing tables and charging people. The sandwich bar is actually self service. ie. people make their own so it would be really easy. It is located in the city centre 10 minutes from my house and is only Monday to Friday as it does not open on the weekends.
Well the guy was really fast setting up an interview and I got a voicemail today telling me I had the job, I called him back and left a voicemail.
I am worried in case it is the minimum wage and I do know that I deserve way more than that cos I have heaps and heaps of experience and could probably run the place if I wanted to and I think the guys knows this.
So does anyone have any tips or experience on how the best approach is for more money if I am not happy with what I am offered. As soon as he says the wage should I jump in and ask for more if it is not enough or should I tell him I will get back to him. Right now I am on considerably more than the minimum wage but that he hasn't asked.
Any help please

I think that when you sit down and talk about money, when he says the amount if it isn't satisfactory, I would ask him why so little with your experience.
I had a job where I wanted $6.25 an hour and the mgr said he would hire me at $6 with a raise in 3 months if I prooved myself. WELL in 3 months I asked him for $6.25 and he came up with some bull crap story and so I quit! I tried to compromise, so that is my advice to you.
Compromise on the wage you want. If there is room for advancement and this is truely a job you want to have, I would do what I could to get as high as I can on the pay rate.
Good Luck

My suggestion would be to show your worth first.. I had a friend who worked in a jewellery shop, she she was so good she just worked her way up so to speak, she was running the place after a short time so maybe start the job show what you can do and then maybe have a little chat and try and work things out if they are not what you think is fair...good luck
