Trapped nerve

I can barely stretch my left hamstring to any degree and I feel certain there is a trapped nerve either in the thigh area (hamstring?) the butt or the hip. Its unlikely to be in the lower back as a CT scan reveals bulging discs but no nerve impingement).
I experience occasional pins and needles on the left foot and I cannot sleep on my left.
Some advice would be appreciated.

I have done a lot of searching on the net and there seems to be an ageold remedy for this type of thing, it is CASTOR OIL not taken oral, instead a piece of flannel soaked in the oil and applied with a hotpack. Flanel is soaked in castor oil not so much that its dripping, apply directly to the area cover with plastic wrap and apply a heat pack for an hour or 2. the flanel may be stored in the fridge in a airtight container and used again, its said it may be used up to 40 times. Its worth a try and isnt very expensive. Best of luck with it.

I too have heard about this treatment using castor oil, they use raw castor oil, not refined, the oil is thick and sticky, but it is said to work lol.

Well I have the exact same symptoms and was told it is sciatica which is generally (but not always) a slipped disc causing pressure on the nerve.
However no gp will see fit to send me for a scan to find out but just throw tablets my way.
Id ask the dr about some physio as my mother suffers also and having started physio is finding it very helpful
