Does Ipod makes you deaf???

I heard a news that using ipod for a very long time makes you deaf. And I admit that I'm also an Ipod lover. Does it makes sense?

If you listen to the music at a low level, this won't make you go deaf. The peple that that article was referring to are the people who blast the music in their ears so loudly that others around them can hear every word.
