My credit card scam!

So I went to the super market this morning and I do my shopping. I go to the check out and my credit card gets declined. So... I wonder why?!!! I pay with another card and when i get home I check my statement thinking maybe I forgot to make a payment. So I log online and I have all these transactions that I didn't do! I was in flames! How?! I don't even carry that credit card in my wallet! I just use emergencies. I reported it already but just curious how someone managed to do this. They were transactions made at stores, they weren't online purchases. How????!!!

The same thing happened to my sister in law. She only uses her debit card in 2-3 places. Someone got a hold of her card number and charged things in stores. Worst part - they were showing up as PIN transactions at stores like the GAP, Abdercrombine and Fitch and other places that do not even take debit card transactions with pin numbers. It is all part of a new scam. The only way this was even caught was because she was on one side of town using her card and the person who took the card was on the other side of town using it at the same time.

The same thing happened to my dad and he had just gotten the card replaced, so it had a new number and only 2 transcations on it. He never used it online or at any other store but one. I dont know what he ended up doing, I think he wrote them a letter, I told him he should have called them.

Stores dont even ask for two pieces of ID now so that could be why. An old employee from a store can easily get your credit card number and key it in. All kinds of crimes that have been going on way too long. Really sorry to hear this happened, move on it quick to stop most of the damage.
