china is suffering high inflation now.prices have risen dramatically in past year and seems no stop in the new year.the CPI is nearly to 8 percent last month, which is quite high. recently,a popular saying in china is 'it is normal to run slower than LiuXiang, while you should run faster than CPI'.what about you? are you suffering inflation now? what's the price index in your country and what effect inflation brings to your life?

Hello dear sophialin. I agree that we are suffering high inflation as everything is on the rise while we still keep the same salary without getting more. I hope this situation will be controlled by our government. I love the life two years ago when everything was cheap. It was a good time back to then.

It is the same salary like four years ago. No rise in salary. Next semester, more teachers will leave and will choose to work for companies doing foreign business, especially English teachers. I think that it is good for them to work in a company to make more fortune than to work in a school where the salary remains the same. Thanks.

Everyone is suffering from inflation. It is eating us up. My money doesn't go very far and so I have quit shopping for anything but essentials. You know food and water, enough gas to get me to work and back. All the extras will just have to wait until something is done about high prices, especially gasoline and electricity. I can only imagine how this will affect manufacturing when people quit buying trinkets.

What does LiuXiang mean? Yes, we are having a recession here in the US! It is affecting food prices as well as other necessities and making it difficult to make ends meet!

Oh, so that makes sense! I do not know the rate of inflation in our country. I do know that it affects us!

liu xiang - he is the pride of china
LiuXiang is a Chinese 110 metre hurdler. Liu is an Olympic Gold medalist and World Champion. His 2004 Olympic gold medal was China's first in a men's track and field event. Furthermore he is the first Chinese athlete to achieve the "triple crown" of athletics(World Record Holder, World Champion and Olympic Champion)concurrently. here is a photo of him.

We live in the same country, so I can understand it very well. And it seems that the pork is an obvious example to the inflation. Its price is double than before. And lately the milk powder has increased the price, too. It will be at least higher 20%--50%. Hard to imagine it.

This doesn't have anything to do with the topic, but I heard something about Chinese and other asians in general and was wondering if it was true. Are asians really lactose intolerant? Meaning they cannot drink regular milk or they get sick?

our country's continuously experiencing inflation. the way to solve it probably is to increase the value of peso, but with our current economic status, our peso seems to be increasing only because the U.S. dollar is devaluing.

yes, very much. its not only case in china, but in india too. i think its happening world wide. the world economy is under pressure now. the inflations are due to the fact the food production has not increased a lot.

yes we are suffering from inflation here in India also. the prices of all sort of goods are raising up and we are unable to buy anything at a decent price these days and also because of this we sometimes are just not buying a few things that we wish to buy.

i am from India and inflation is on the rise in India also. the rate of inflation is more than 6.5% and prices of food and other items are rising. inflation remains slightly higher in developing countries but recently the prices of every items have doubled. Govt. is trying to tackle this problem or atleast it is promising to tackle it but i dont think that there is much the government can do
