Hello! What good does coffee does to our body? Of course, I've heard of anti-oxidants in it that does some good to the body, but what about other benefits? I'm asking coz I likr coffee very much but not an excessive drinker though. I like cold coffee blends like mocharamel frapuccino and frappes.

Hello Nicky Ferdie, how are you doing? Basically I believe small amounts of coffee (one to two standard size cups) gives heart protecting benefits due to the anti-oxidants. You shouldn't drink too many coffee blends due to the fact that they usually have lots of fat & calories. You can compromise and get "skinny latte" which uses skim milk and sugar free syrups. If it's not avaliable ask for low fat milk or soy milk, and try to get sugar free syrup. Or if you can drink regular coffee ;). Pablo

Thanks very much Pablo! I didn't know that before. That really helped me a lot. Now I can drink coffee with more reasons.

Black coffee is the "best" for you because it doesn't have all the sugar, fat etc. those blended frapuccinos really negate the benefits of the coffee because they are mostly surgar and milk with some coffee. also keep in mind artificial sweeteners are not good for you and your usually better off just getting regular sugar. Now skim is always preferable to 2% and the like. Hope this helps!

I have read that the ingredients in coffee can help prevent colon cancer. I'm sure if you drink too much, you can negate the affects, as caffeine can be bad. Coffee can also help to clean out the colon, as it is a diuretic. So, I'm glad it has some positive effects on the body. That means I can keep drinking it to my heart's content.
