Are you an ugly duckling?

When I was young, I believe I'm an ugly duckling. I was very thin, I have dark skin, I'm so small and I don't look good. I always compare myself to my older sister because she has nice skin, long hair and nice body. I always envy her because she looks so pretty and she has lots of suitors.
It was only when I turned 17 that the swan in me came out. I started becoming "beautiful". My skin turned smooth and fair, my body got its nice shape and I was able to grow long hair. Now, even though I'm not so young anymore and I've gained a little weight, I can say I still look good and my husband never fails to appreciate me for that.
Are you also an ugly duckling? How did you looked before? What are the changes that happened to you?

i'm not sure if i can consider myself as an ugly duckling coz i never think nor worry about my looks back then till now. i just know that most people think i look good and they like my dark hair and my brown complexion, i often get the position of the MUSE but despite all this i remain the same and i guess it makes me more a tomboy and hate to be look at. i am pretty rude to boys when i was growing up and it thus makes me laugh just looking back on it.
now, i still dont care how i look but i sure care if my husband says i am neglecting myself so i make it a point that i look good in his eyes and he often tease me that i dont have to try coz i will always look beautiful in his eyes.
now that is sweet! haha, i guess that's the only change that happens to me try to look good for him but i am still not wearing a make up nor try to pluck my eyebrows, haha

hahaha that is very true, i have to tease him that he is not just blind in one eye but two (he is literally blind in one eye) but i am not complaining, hahaha!
yes, confidence plays a huge part in once look so i hope others dont see themselves ugly or not good enough. i have to advice that they should stop watching fashion shows or reading beauty or fashion magazines if that makes them less of a person. i used to think that it affects one's perception n themselves if they like to do such stuff (not talking generally but some does let it bothers them)

Go girl! That's the spirit! You have confidence in yourself that's why you always look good without really trying. Just like your husband, my hubby has his eyes on me all the time. He never fails to compliment me no matter how I look or how much I have gained. I still look prety to him. See how blinding love can be!

I always thought that I was ugly also. I think for me, it was more that I didn't care how I looked and I often didn't shower for days. I am now overweight and I still think I'm ugly, but many people look at me and tell me how pretty I am. I am now starting to convince myself that I am pretty, but when you are 40+ pounds overweight, it is hard to convince yourself of that. Of course, I am not my body and what is inside is what counts. I have a beautiful personality and I really do like that, but I didn't realize that until I was an adult. It all has to do with your perception of yourself I think.

unluckily,i'm just such person opposite from you.i was very pretty and beautiful when i was young.they called me 'snow white princess' at that time.
one friend of my parents liked me so much that she even took me to her house playing with me for a week when i was only a few moths old. while nothing supernatural happened on me as i grow up day by day. i'm still pretty,but not much compared to myself in childhood.
