HAPPY EASTER! What are your plans?

My daughter has been pestering for an Easter Egg Hunt but has no clue I was already planning to have one for her. Since the day started out sunny and looks like it's going to stay that way, I took all the plastic eggs I have and put candy in them with a few holding money. Then went walking around the yard hiding them and then hid her basket in the house. Hubby and daughter went over to his parent's house after work so I could get all this done. Waiting for the call that they are up and heading home. This is the 1st time I've ever planned an Egg Hunt and excited to be able to do this for our daughter and outside at that. I'm already thinking next Easter to have one and invite some of her friends over for a private egg hunt. With the wooded yard and all the various gardens, I'll never run out of hiding spots. Hubby don't know this yet but I've decided to just cook a chicken on the rotisserie over charcoal with hickery chips to smoke it for our Easter dinner later along with mashed taters and a vege or 2. That's what are day is going to be today. What are your plans for today? Please share..

It sounds like you are having a lovely Easter, blackbrair, my husband and I are not really doing much. I'm getting the flat cleaned up and packing as I am leaving later tonight to visit my daughter and her family in another state.

Thanks, blackbriar, have arrived safely in NE and had a good Easter and am enjoying my visit with my daughter and her children. Although I have only been here for only about 2 days and already the visit seems too short.

I'm going over to my mom's. We'll be eating at the Manor, where mom lives. We'll be joining one of her friends at a table of 4. I like eating at the Manor on holidays, the food is excellent on normal days and extra nice on holidays. And I don't have to clean up!

We do that on occassion but head to one of our fave resturants. Since we went out to eat last nite, we decided to stay home today.

Friday night we treated ourselves to the Persian place we love. On Saturday we went out to the roommate's folks and had ham. Today at the manor I had roast beast.

Well I have spent on here today lol When the Kids are grown up and no Grandkids in Sight then Easter is just another Day to be honest Gissi had to search for his treat which I do not think he was happy with But he found it lol I am glad that you had a great Day I remember when I was a Child I always loved hunting for the Eggs

Every holiday is pretty much another day to me. Just do a lil something extra special is all. Gissi needs to work for his treats sometimes. Will do him good to use that sniffer of his constructively. lol For a few min. this morning, I was thinking of hiding a few treats for Dom and the cats but then thought better. Dom would of found the cat treats and help himself. I loved hunting for the eggs as well when I was a kid and try to take our daughter every year for the hunt. This year with it being so darn muddy, I decided to have one here at home just for her.

The boys woke us up bright at early to hunt for eggs and go through their Easter baskets. We will be having family over in about an hour for breakfast, and then we'll have a ham dinner with stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, and croissants! Yummy!

All my family went to Chruch. Then we all put out the Eggs for all my lil cousins to look for. Currently helping my mom and aunts cooking our Easter meal. Then after that we might head out to the beach or park depending on how the weather holds up!

I bet your lil cousins had a ball looking for the eggs. Our daughter did with our help. We have such a big yard that to make it a lil easier on her, I just hid them in the front half and stayed out of the woods. Next year if I have one for her and her friends, I'll be utilizing the woods surrounding us. Our chicken is half-done on the grill. Sure smells good with the hickory smoke. Going to make stuffing as well. Our daughter is out on her go-cart with her dad now having a blast while I stay here and mylot while keeping an eye on the grill.
