I understand and knew that it was a work of fiction. but many countries have banned the book as they found it threat to the religion beleifs. What do u say?
I loved the movie and the book. I also enjoy fiction. I wasn't offended at all. To me, it doesn't matter if Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene or not. I don't even care if he had children with her. He died for my sins and he is the Son of God. Jesus was put here in human form to experience the trials and tribulations of man (and of course to preach God's love and to save us) I don't know deep down in my heart that the afore mentioned are not true, simply because there are many translations of the Bible, plus, how do I know that, say, one of the Popes a long, long time ago didn't accidentally on purpose burn what he didn't think fit into his description of Jesus? These are Hypotheticals, of course, but I just feel that it's a possibility, but it's no reason for me to disbelieve the teachings of Jesus Christ. I trust jesus.

I do not believe that Christians should be offended by it. It is a fictional story, and should be treated that way. However, I have heard things like what the book talks about being discussed before I ever heard of the book, and we all know it to be false.

I will say that many countries will Ban books that they believe attack the fundamental religion of that country, not so much to keep the citizens ignorant as to avoid a situation that may lad to alot of anti-Christian violence. Many will disagree with that, but it seems to be the way they think.

i really do not think that we (christians) should be offended by anything that is said or done but we are all human and we often live and judge by our feelings instead of our heart(the heart of christ) i new people in my congegation that were offended by the movie the apostle with robert duvall because he was forgiven for a murder(need to see the movie) but is that not what forgiveness is all about sorry about rambling on but christianity iis about freedom so if it does not offend you then enjoy it remember it is just entertainment
