My youngest daughter has a huge one on her right cheek and a smaller one on her left, it 100% adds to her cheeky nature, but im curious what causes them why are they there, do they ever go or will she always have a dimple. My eldest doesnt have any neither do me or their dad, so are they something that just happen? You can see them in the picture and she just wouldnt be her without them lol

I have one on my right cheek only, and none on my left. My parents don't have any, but my uncle does. Mine definitely hasn't gone away yet, and I don't think they do. From what I understand a dimple is a missing or weaker muscle in the cheek, so when you smile or whatever that part of the cheek stays and thus makes a dimple. But they are much less cute if you think of them as a defect, :)

It's hereditary I guess, if none of you parents have it, maybe she got it from her grandparents. It makes her more cute and adorable! I have one too on my right cheek it's been there since I was a kid, even my face got a little chubby, it still there. It shows everytime I smile. For some people it's attractive, because it adds to your face being cheerful and friendly, some find it sexy--i don't know why, it's weird. You have a cute daughter.
