Easter... A Time For Chocolate Eggs

Traditionally, the egg is a symbol of new beginnings, and Ostara/Easter is a time for new beginnings and new growth, so it has become customary to give chocolate eggs at this time.
This got me to thinking about my favourite chocolate, and what type of Easter Egg I would enjoy most. My favourite chocolate is Cadbury's Dairy Milk, and knowing this, my Son gave me a Cadbury's Egg, with Mini Eggs inside. For those of you who don't know, Mini Eggs have a crispy sugar shell, come in a variety of pastel shades, and beneath the shell coating, are solid Cadbury's chocolate. So, I was overjoyed with my egg and am now working through it!
So what would your "ideal" Easter Egg be? Do you prefer plain, or milk chocolate, or would you prefer white chocolate? Would the egg be filled with small chocolates, and if so, what kind? There are lots of "specialist" eggs out there, too.
Lastly, how many of you were given an egg, and was it your "ideal" egg? Do tell me!

I prefer milk chocolate, either with caramel or nuts in, so a Snickers Egg or a Caramel Egg would be my ideal one. You can get the small Caramel ones, as well as Rolo, Smarties and Cadbury's Cream Eggs. Of these small ones I like Caramel and Rolo ones best.

I must say that I was not given an egg this Easter, but that is fine by me. I do not eat very many sweets and everyone knows that. Anyway, if I would have to pick my fav type of chocolate easter egg it would be the ones with peanutbutter in the middle. Not normal peanut butter, but like a reeces cup. My parents use to get one for each of us kids when I was younger. They were huge. About the size of a fist if not a lil bigger. I remember taking a knife and cutting a piece off and eating it. Then putting it in the frig so it did not melt. Those things would last us kids for a few days if not a week or 2. I went to walmart to find one, but cant find them anywhere.

That sounds nice. The closest I ever got to that experience was Poppycock's Chocolate and Peanut Butter Popcorn! lol. I'm in England, so I guess that's the reason why.
Yes, eggs do last a few days, don't they? It is nice to be given one though, even if you don't eat chocolate, you might be given and inedible one with a small gift inside. I think eggs are a bit expensive for what they are... possibly most of the money goes on the packaging, and sometimes, a bar of chocolate is better value, but it's the sentiment of the egg, I like, and the significance.
Brightest Blessings and thank you for your prompt response.

I did enjoy my egg, thank you, Gabs. I don't mind white chocolate but I can't eat too much of it... I find it a bit sweet. Even then, I only like the Nestle one.
Sorry you didn't get an egg, but hope you enjoyed the break anyway. The weather could have been a whole heap better, but nicer today, with lots of blue sky and sunshine. Perhaps we're ready to go into spring now.
Brightest Blessings, love and hugs. xxxx
