Did you attend church today?

How many of you attended church today? I spent my time at home with my husband and my daughter. My church is about 45 miles from here, one way. We had a quiet morning at home and I gave my daughter an Easter basket. We work seven days a week, nights, and it is hard to go places in the morning after working all night. My daughter also works 6 days a week too and she worked last night also. Did you feel refreshed after attending church? Is your church the same as it was when you were growing up?

I am a Christian. But didn't attend church. Sorry folks cannot subscribe to people who eat in best of China-ware, Gold & Silver spoon, while many in the world don't get a decent single meal. Got a lot of firing from my sisters. The excuse did not work We celebrated Easter at home. A lot of traditional meals which we don't cook day to day. Happy Easter have a good time folks.

We didn't go to church today either. We haven't been for many years. We choose to worship the lord in our own way at home. Our church is 45 miles from us now and it has changed alot. We would rather be at home than to go through things there anymore.

My church meets on Saturday mornings and I missed it yesterday because my husband had some work to do on the car.. And yes, I do feel refreshed afterwards, I love it.. And no, it definitely is nothing like I attended when I was a child. I went to a church of G-d out of Anderson, Indiana, which was very dry and boring..Now I attend a Messianic congregation which is why they meet on Saturdays..

I'm glad you have a good church to go to now. My church turned into a gossip station and we live 45 miles from it now anyway. My preacher married us and we have not been back since. He never sends a flyer asking us how we are or to come back or anything. I guess we didn't give enough in the offering plate or meet the higher standards of some in the church. that is not right. We should all be treated the same but it is not that way anymore, even in church.

I hear you..This one church we went to, not only did we leave, but a friend of mine left right before we did..My friend had more money and probably put more into the offering than we were able to, but the church didn't even bother to ask why we stopped going, but with my friend, the Pastor and his wife went to my friends home to try to get her to come back.. Unfortunately, this is a church my husband went back to..Probably because they also don't keep accountability there..My daughter and I don't like it because the kids were rude and the adults seemed very fake..So my husband got mad at my daughter and I the other day when one of the girls that wasn't very nice was working at the local grocers..It surprised my daughter and I so much, we didn't say anything to her, brought back many bad memories.. Even if we were wrong in not speaking to this girl, she is not what I think a believer should be, and even if it was a kid thing, she is 18 now, and I am sure she hasn't changed a bit, at least she didn't try to talk to us then..(sorry, churches sometimes brings out some venting on my part, seen too much and heard too much to respect the church any more..)

We didn't go to church either. We work nights and my church is far away from here now. I said my prayers today also and spent time with my husband and daughter. That is a blessing in itself.

Yes, I went to Church with my wife, and I really enjoyed it. Our sermons I straightforward and easily understood. We are fortunate to have a teaching, rather than a preaching Pastor. The teaching is uplifting and enriches your life. Preaching brimstone and fire sermons never attracted me. Not to judge, but Jimmy Swaggert used to preach the brimstone and fire sermons, and there was far too much judgement in that. Church are not the same as when I grew up. Today more Churches are far too much in prosperity preaching. Nothing wrong with prosperity, but the motive behind it is to draw out more money from the congregations. Many Pastors are living in super luxury; driving very expensive cars and are too materialistic in their life style. And for that reason they are preaching the prosperity sermons. Some Churches have become too commercialised to my liking.

That is great to hear. that sounds like my kind of church. My church changed for the worse and they are only out for themselves and alot of people there are very snooty and will not give you the time of day in or outside of the church. I cannot stand that. I quit going because of it.

We went to church this morning at 8:30 for the fundraiser breakfast the teen-agers put together. We didn't make it to sunrise service because we knew CJ wouldn't be able to get up that early and make it without a melt-down. Church service started at 9:30 and we planned on staying but because I had forgotten CJ's book bag with his drawing papers, etc., that would've kept him calm we had to leave because he got a major attitude problem. That'll teach me not to forget what he needs... We've only been going to this church for a little over a month but when I'm there I feel safe and would prefer not to go out in the 'world' again; but alas, we must go on...

Yes. i know what you mean. I always felt safe in church too when I was little but my church has changed alot since then and we live far away from it now. My husband and I both work seven days a week also at night time. I work 15 hours and he works 8 hours. There just never seems to be enough time for things anymore but we do worship the lord in our home. He is with us daily.

I have spent my time solely at home. I can't avail to be traveling now but I will surely be doing that soon. Attending church is one good opportunity to be refresh and know that there is greater power who holds the key to helping and making our lives afresh everyday.

I attended Church today as I attend Church every Sunday. For me, the only way to live, is to attend Church. We had a wonderful Easter service today and had quite a few guests. The pastor preached an awesome service, and it helped make for a wonderful day. Then after Church my husband and I went out to eat, and then came home and relaxed where I took a much needed nap and spent some time here in myLot.

I guess my mom burnt me out on it when I was growing up. We were always in church and the congragation was not very friendly at all. The church and the pastor also changed and it was more of a place where you had to give alot of money or volunteer for alot of things, to mean anything to them. I used to love everything about church. It made me feel so much better about life, but the people there, acted like they were better than us. I don't like that at all. We should be able to go to church and be sociable and friendly to one another. Most of them act like they do not even know you when you pass them on the street or in a store. I prefer to worship the lord at home now. My pastor married us and has not contacted us since. It looks like he would stay in touch at least once a year to see if we are okay and ask us back. We live 45 miles from there now and he has no clue if we joined another church or anything, but we haven't.

I attended church today and will go this afternoon as well. It is a shame that you have to work seven days a week and have no time do anything. In fact that is cruel that your employer will not give you time off, at least Saturday evening and Sunday day so you can get at least a little rest. I suppose he is very reluctant to give you vacation time as well. I am refreshed after attending church and it is not the same one I had when I was growing up. The one I had was more interested in social events than preaching about God. The one I go to preaches the word of God. It is a Reformed Church. It is the same as Presbyterian only from the Dutch tradition.

We can take the time off any time we would like to but we cannot afford to miss work. My husband lost a good paying job back in September and he makes alot less money now. He has to work seven days a week and so do I now to make up for the loss and it still is not even close to making it all up. Our church isn't the same anymore either. They are too worried about gossiping and who gives the most in the offering plate. They do not treat you as brother and sister either. They "may" speak to you in church but they will not give you the time of day outside of it. I do not think that is church at all. I stay home and worship the lord now because of that.

I was not able to go to Church. It's been awhile since the last time I attend a mass. Back in my hometown, the church improve some of it's physical features. But it's still the same with regards to the interior with minor changes. I feel refreshed after attending a mass but I also feel guilty if I know that I'm not listening to the homily. I may not be a church goer like the others but I try my very best to be a good Christian.

I didn't go either but I do not feel guilty for it. My church is not like it used to be. I would rather worship the lord at home. Our church really does not focus on the Bible or the lord to the full extent. It is more like who is better than who and who can give the church the most.

Well today is a MOnday, but I attended church yesterday as I do every Sunday. I also plan on going to church on Wednesday night for Bible study and from time to time I am there on Monday nights for women's fellowship and tuesday nights for a board meeting because I am on the church board. The church i attend now is a different church than what I went to when I was younger.

I did go to church Easter Sunday. I went to my partner's church as they had a dawn service at the cemetary. It was beautiful and a wonderful way to start the day. I attend church every week. I don't go to the same church as my parents, instead I go to a chuch 15 mins away (drive) where they have a youth service each week. I always enjoy the worship and followship.
