Do we still have to abide by the Law of Moses?

" Do not think that I came to destroy the law but to fulfill it.." Matthew (Don't know the exact chapter, but the verse is 17-19!)
If Christ fulfilled the law are we still under the law of Moses? It was a question of curiosity I had today while having a Family Bible Study.
While the law is not abolished it is fulfilled, so if it is fulfilled why would we still be under it?
I hope this question makes sense.

It was considered the Mosaic covenant/laws. If you read the New Testament it mentions this quite a few times.

Well, there are cases of OT law we observe, and need to observe. We cannot commit adultery, murder etc. I think we need to take OT laws as paradigm... and it's difficult to spell out exactly which ones to take and which not without developing the theology.

hi! Jesus said we had to do better than that! If we're angry in our heart we commit murder.. etc.. Not just enough to not commit adultery, but don't even think of others.. the law couldn't accomplish that in man's heart (mankind) but as christians, we know that the spirit of God within can.. I like to think of it this way, that I have (now) one rule. To love God. B'cause then I will draw close to him.. will seek him and follow after him (all through Jesus, of course, and our being declared fully righteous in that way). For I know that all goodness comes only from God. Even Jesus said, when someone called him "good master" - "no one is good, but God" luke 18:19. So to draw near to God is what saves us and is also what transforms us (slowly more and more into the image of his son, 2 corinthians 3:18).. He fills us with himself. If I love God, I will love my fellow person, truly and deeply.. and "love does no wrong" romans 13:10... "love is the fulfilling of all the law and the prophets" matthew 22:37-40

I fully agree with the responses above. Jesus fulfilled the law and yes if we love God first and our fellow man as ourselves then the other laws fall into place automatically.
