Did you have nightmares when you were small?

I have had many good dreams when I was small, but I also had really bad nightmares. There were two that were really frequent. One of them was that I was in my garden and suddenly each step I took, little pools opened with huge creatures. Many of them contained sharks, killer whales, pirañas and many other weird creatures. When you are around 10 years old that really scares the heck out of you, who knows maybe there are still people that are scared of theses kind of dreams. The other really frequent dream was that suddenly I woke up and started waking towards the stairs. I fell down the stairs and when I was about to hit myself against the floor I woke up. When I woke up, I did not know where I was and I was sweating a lot. What about you, have you ever had a nightmare?

When I was little I had a recurring nightmare about being on a school trip. In the dream I was always about six or seven years old and I got separated from the rest of the children. I was walking across a field towards a shale beach and the sky was really dark. There was a malevolent scarecrow and I was really afraid and alone. Then suddenly I'd be running down a wooden board walk with the planks flying up behind me and I had to keep running or whatever it was would get me too. I had the dream many times and it was always terrifying.
