Hey you soldier standing there
all alone and looking sad
all around you blood and mayhem
the stench of death getting bad
Hey you soldier standing there
looking lost and in pain
for your friends who have perished
in a war there's no gain
Hey you soldier standing there
we are proud to call you son
you are fighting for your country
our respect you have won
In our eyes you're our hero
we share your pain, you're not alone
for the hardships you have suffered
for our lost not coming home
In our prayers you are always
in our hearts your place is safe
sons and daughters of this country
freedom is your fighting name.

That's a beautiful tribute georgette. Although i'm not an American i can relate. As the Bahamas is so close to America we're all affected by this war. We have many young people fighting in this war also. I personally feel as though this is everyone who loves freedom's war. So i stand with you in this tribute.

Thank you. I know that this relates to all the soldiers in the world who fight for freedom. But I called it U.S. Soldier because I am an american and also because it seems that Americans soldiers or not are always under fire no matter what we do.
