I want to dedicate this poem to Lakota, our dear friend who was taken to hospital following a heart attack, this morning... Hurry back Sweetheart... we all miss you so very much.
Heartfelt Words For My Soul Sister Lakota
Lakota, my soul sister, spirit of pride
With the strength of a lion deep inside,
Your spirit lies deep within my heart,
Your pride and courage sets you apart.
Words often felt but left unsaid
Whisper from feathers hung over your bed.
Like birds on the wind, they softly say.
Comfort my soul sister’s spirit today.
She who bears scars from battles fought.
She who’s forever in my thoughts,
Listen with your heart and hear
My words on the wind.. Soft, but clear.
Never give up, and never fear,
For you will always feel me near,
Your spirit will guide you with love and care,
I will be with you… I’m always there.
Silent tears upon spirit wind
Will fall to heal my spiritual friend,Bringing you energies, nature’s wealth,
To guide and comfort you back to health.
I'm sure all Lakota's and my dear friends, will echo these sentiments.
Brightest Blessings and Healing Energies are sent to our dear friend and her family at this sad time. xxxx

What a beautifully written poem, Darkwing. I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. I've seen many of her responses to your discussions and she certainly is a very wise lady, and seeing she is your friend, I'm sure she is a wonderful person too. I'm sure this poem will lift her spirits and comfort her. Healing thoughts and prayers are sent her way for a complete recovery. Take care.

Hi Kash... it's good to see you. I hope you had a very happy Ostara/Easter, and that all is going well for you.
Yes, Lakota is a very wise, very brave and strong lady, and a dear, dear friend. I hope she can see what I'm saying in the poem, and will continue to fight her way back to health. She's suffered a lot of setbacks in the past couple of years, but this being the third, I surely hope it will be the last of her trials.
The poem was sent to her last night, by a mutual friend, in the hope that it will help lift her spirits, so all we can do now is send her healing energies, as we did before, and I thank you for joining with us in doing so.
Brightest Blessings, my dear friend. Take care, and stay well. xx

It's good to hear you enjoyed your Easter... by the way, it's snowing here! Can you believe that? Snowing in the south of England, at Easter?
Yes, I think Lakota enjoys the support of her friends, and will always fight to be with her granddaughter, Chey. She rarely makes much of a fuss when she's not well, and she takes things that come to her in a brave, courageous manner, fighting all the way. She gives, unconditionally, to her friends, and is well-loved here, in Mylot, so this has been sad news for all her friends both here, and elsewhere.
Take care my dear friend. I've been busy, but will try to relate some more of the story to you soon. I think I'll have to start again from the very beginning, leaving no stone unturned. I feel you understand what has gone on, in a way many others don't, and I thank you so much for listening. I'm still convinced that I'm right... the spirits do not lie.
See you soon... have a good day. xx

Yes, I had a very nice Easter, the weather is finally breaking, and I so need that to happen.
Your poem is completely from the heart and I'm sure she can almost feel you holding her hand in spirit, comforting her as much as possible at this time. Sometimes, that's all that is needed for recovery, is to know many, many people are sending healing, caring thoughts your way. I pray she can feel them all and get some strength from it.

Sorry to hear that your friend is sick, just when she was getting well again. I will pray for her speedy recovery, and hope things are not too bad for her.
Great poem, by the way.

I'm putting this note on the bottom response, in the hope that you'll all see it.
The good news is that Lakota underwent a minor operation yesterday, to open her arteries, in order to keep her blood pressure down, and last night was home again, resting.
I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the prayers and healing energies you collectively sent to her, because added to the courage of our beautiful friend, she has fought and won another battle. I'm really honoured to have such warm and caring friends in Mylot... I can't thank you all enough.
Brightest Blessings to you all. May the eternal light guide and keep you on your path through life. xxxxx

Yes... all who know her will miss her, I'm sure. She's always there supporting us, through all kinds of traumas. She's a very brave lady, with a big, big heart... and I feel honoured to call her my friend, as I'm sure you do.
Brightest Blessings, love and hugs. xxxxx

It's sad news and I am sorry to hear that. Hope that your friend is ok by now. By the way, I feel that she is lucky to have a friend like you, who write a poem to wish for her goodness and give her strength. Just not sure if she is also a Mylotter? But I am sure she will be very touched when she read this discussion.

It surprise me even more after you had told me more about your friend. I salute her for her strong will and courage to battle the disease and face the unfortunate relationship. Not everyone could withstand such hardship. However, I am glad that she has good friends like all of you. Help me to send regards to her so that she know there are other Mylotter who are with her. Besides, the slightest that I could do to help her is responding to her discussion. Do you mind to let me know her user name? Or a name 'Lakota' in your friend's list?

You are most welcome. I found her profile and had made a response in her MRI discussion , even before further confirmed by your response. Because from what was described in her treament, I am pretty sure it is your friend that you mentioned. I wish she will be fine soon and will be back in Mylot later on. Don't worry and have a nice day!

Thank you... she indeed has rare qualities. I'm sure she will read your wishes here, on her return but if you wish to look out some of her discussions, and respond to her, then by all means do. Her profile can be found at:

On behalf of my friend, and myself... thank you for your support.

Oh my goodness...did you write this? What a magnificent tribute to Lakota...a woman whom many of us love, respect and honor. When I read it I was struck with the eloquent tribute to the essence of who she is. I so appreciated that you let me know about what had happened to her on the Easter weekend.
Your wonderful poem and the unified prayers and energetic support we all sent her way has brought her back to us again. She called me last night and is doing alright considering all she's been through again.
I have cut and pasted your beautiful poem and love you for honoring Lakota in this way.
Much love and gentle hugs..

Thank you, Raia... yes, I wrote it from my heart, and I posted it in my 360 Page together with a relative video, which she loved... the video is called Lakota Woman's Power Song, which I thought was very apt. Feel free to take a look, if you wish. I admire Lakota greatly, for her courage, strength and beliefs, my friend, as I know we all do.

You were the first one I thought of contacting when I learned about Lakota's hospitalisation... something to do with the power of three??? She told me she'd spoken to you, and I know it comforted her to do so. I know the prayers and energies help her a lot... she feels them, and would you believe the first thing I thought about was feathers?
I'm touched that you loved the poem so much that you cut and pasted it, my dear friend. Brightest Blessings, love and hugs. xxx

My, how coincidental that you should be the first to respond to this, Chey, for you have the same name as my dear friend's granddaughter... unbelievable!
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, and also for your comment about the poem. It's just a pity that I messed up with the last two lines, in that when I posted, they somehow didn't separate. Never mind, the thought is there, I guess. I hope she likes it to, and that it will give her some inspiration.
Brightest Blessings, my friend. x

That is quite remarkable that I share the same name as a family member of your friend.
The words of a friend, that come from the heart will always be valued. So I am sure you friend will appreciate it. Please keep me posted as to her condition.

Thank you for taking such an interest in our dear friend... I really appreciate that, Chey.
There is a snippet of news, in that Lakota suffered a mild heart attack... Today, they will be putting a stint in her artery to keep it open, and another, in the artery which serves her kidneys, as that is closing down too. By doing this, her blood pressure should be controlled and regulated.
Take care.
