Do you cut your children's hair or take them to have it done?

Just wondering what other people do.
Up until this past year I cut all of my kids and my husband's hair. Now I take my oldest to have hers done because she is getting so picky about looking just right. She is 6. I still do my son's and my husband's hair. I am getting really good at using the clippers and I am learning to fade the sides and back more every time I cut their hair. Usually I just buzz it all off in the summer though because my son sweats so much.
I also trim my 4 year old daughter's hair. She got her first professional cut this summer just to get it all even and nice.
I have even let my husband cut my hair because we didn't have money for me to get it done and it was getting too long. He didn't do bad but he can't cut in a straight line to save his life, lol. So now I go once a year to get it cut.

My duaghter most likly won't need a hair cut until she is about 3 (she has no hair) but I will take her to get it cut

My daughters were both like that, too. My oldest had her first trim when she was 2 1/2 and the only reason I trimmed her hair was because I was cutting my son's hair for the first time (he was about 16 months old). I think I might have snipped her bangs once before that to get them out of her eyes, otherwise she didn't need a cut. And after that I think she had maybe one trim before getting it professionally cut for the first time at 4 1/2.
My younger daughter got her first trim at 3 but I never cut her bangs so her hair has always been one length for the most part. The only reason I do any trimming of her hair is because she wants to feel included and to get rid of some of the split ends. Like I said she had her first real haircut at 3 1/2. She was sad that I wasn't taking her to get her hair cut, too.
They are such the opposite of me. I look at my baby pictures and by the time I was 2 I had hair down to my butt, lol.
