It has to be. I mean if it keeps happening ever and ever again... there has to be something to it.
Every time. Every single time that I have some free time and plan to do a few things here and there , rest, just relax, something happens to spoil the whole thing.
I had 4 full days. No work. Classes resume tuesday. Today is hubby's birthday.
So I had it all sort of planned. I would do some "housekeeping" on friday. SPend the evening on hubby's aunt house to have some time with his cousin that was leaving back to Japan on Saturday.
THen Saturday I would proof read some report cards and rest.
Today we would go out somewhere.
Tomorrow I would do some more proof reading and rest some more.
But no, that couldn't be. Grandma went to the hospital on Friday.
I feel even a bit sorry thinking of her being ill as spoiling my plans, but the fact is that this is a pattern that keeps repeating itself.I can never take some time to really rest or do some of the things I planned.
I can understand something like this happening every once in a while, that's life. But every single time?????
It has to be some sort of sabotage, no?
Does this happen to a lot of you too, or is it just me?

Stuff like this happen to me all the time. I mean if it can go wrong it probably will, pretty much says it all for me! I mean just the simple little things always go wrong. All i can say is hang in there. Keep trying. When the one time does happen you'll enjoy it more, and when it doesn't, you'll have been waiting so long it won't really bother you much that it doesnt!

Yeah, me and "Annoying" are pretty good friends! Kind of like that old saying from Odessa,Texas that says....spit in one hand and poop in the other and see which fills up first!

Sweet Twin when I was working and I had Days of yes that would happen to me but now not any more as I just plan every Day as it comes I do not plan to much ahead any more like I used to I wish though that it was still like that and that I would still have to plan things around my work and on Days of but I guess I won't any more
Don't let it get you down Sweetie I understand you I really do but do not let it get to you
I think the only way this will not happen is if you and Hubby go away for the Days of
A Happy Birthday to him Sweetie
Hugs

same here, i got 4 days off work for lent. i was waiting for that holiday for weeks, i had plans from start of day one.
Now i'm back to work and i'm looking at my list. Only 2 out of 10 has been crossed out.
But its my fault, my mood got in the way.
Sometimes my plan works out as planned. I just don't count on that too much.

LOL we tend to blame the ides of March for lots of things too hehehehehe specially when things are not done when they should.IN portuguese we call it calendas de Marco, and when something is taking too long we tend to say " Oh! that? only by the calendas "
You're right that things can only get better.. there's no space for them to be worse LOL

I know what you mean, it happens everytime we plan things too. I now do not get excited about anything beforehand until it actually happens because something would always go wrong to spoil it. My hubby will often say to me are you excited about us doing this or going there, and I always say nope, I will when we are on our way or it happens, but if I get excited about it now it will all go wrong. I never make plans for anything until the last possible minute! I am sooo pessimistic, think the worst and then you cannot get upset!! Plus sometimes if I think everything is going to go wrong,it does not!

I know. I stopped getting too excited about things quite a while ago LOL THe problem with us is that even not getting too excited about it things still don't go right. NOthing has been right for a long time and I'm really wishing for a small break to recharge my batteries.

With us it is cars that conspire to spoil our fun, delay our getaway, and eat any extra cash that might get spent on us. We did finally get to go away for the weekend. We had wanted to go Friday night, but it ended up being Saturday morning, because of car issues. What sends gramma to the hospital?

Lol..believe me you are not alone!I use to make plans, still do,now I use a mud map,it does seem to work better.Yesterday as we have visitors over Easter, I suggested to hubby we take them out to a favourite Italian Resturant of ours.We were later in the day invited out of the blue to spend the evening at a frinds home, which we accepted, had a lovely time chatting, sharing.Very nice Evening, and no huge bill to boot!I find when I don't make plans life goes along very nicely, when I do, more often then not things turn chaotic!letting go of control was a major turning point for me,and spur of the moment intuition always serves me well.Perhaps it is just destinys way of saying.."Hey It's o.k., I have it all under control"?..Lol
Simply Be works.

Geesh, what a relief!! :) IT's not only me then LOL
I never even make any strict plans, but when I have some free days I usually tend to take some time to rest, because I don't rest much when I"m working. But no, it never happens :)
If destiny has it under control it should give me some time to rest LOL

Oh dear, this is not sabotage! Though such coincidences are tiring, irritating and frustrating, I prefer to see it as god's way of giving you strength :P
I only know when I am "free" from work, something is bound to happen. Often I will fall sick. It always does not seem to happen when I am working especially when I wish I could take medical leave.

I look at them as blessings in disguise. You never know why your plans are intervened or what the purpose is until the time has passed and you see as to why it has happened.
If I had a penny for everytime this happened to me. I would be rich beyond my dreams.
Rest, wow there is such a thing. There is a reason for everything, just remember that.
Ainge
