Initially, I said I would bank it, but I have some unexpected expenses come up and I have to take care of them before it gets crazy. I always want to save but stuff always come up and I have to spend it. I don't like that. Funny you mentioned this because IRS just sent me a notice about this same rebate check today.

And just to add my further two cents, I like getting money, love it when my income tax refund comes, love it when some unexpected money comes my way, but to be blunt, if they REALLY want folks to spend money in this country, do yourself a favor, and LOWER THE GAS PRICES!!!! because that's where the money's going.

I will pay a few bills, and spend some of it. I will put a little back for when an emergency happens.

We might buy something, but not much. Most of it is going into our saviongs since we will be moving in June. I am sure when we move all o fth emoney will be spent rather quickly.

SPEND IT:) First off, my husband and I are taking a trip to NYCity with that money. I am sure that will tap out a good majority of it. After that we are getting our driveway resealed. If there is anything leftover, I will be using it in the Fall to get my kids new school clothes.

Pay bills, and if there's any left, it goes in the IRA. No spending here.
