Caught a Big Peacock Bass today!!!!

This afternoon, before our planned Easter Activity, I decided to take my family to our local lake to kill some time. I took my fishing rod to cast a few along the way. I didnt expect to catch anything, the weather was ugly and the water was all churned. My wife and son were there to see me in action as I tried to catch anything. Early on, I managed to catch a turtle of all things. I kept trying and casting for any fish to bite. When all hope seamed to be gone, I got some action, a bite. I cast again, in the same spot and ZZZZZZZ, I hooked it. I battled it for a good 4 minutes, my wife got to record some of it. It was a big peacock bass, I estimate about 4-6 lbs, 14 inches. Its great when you catch an unexpected one like this. I got a nice rush landing it. I got an even bigger one with the look my son had on his face when he saw it. My wife took a great picture. All in all, it was a Great day at the lake.
