Do you wish they would not show up?

We had Easter dinner at Uncle Larry's today, and she was a no show, instead she left a note on their door talking about how she feels everyone belittles her and makes fun of her. It hurt my Uncle and Aunt to no end. We had one of the best dinners, would have been better if my Bro cousins and other Uncle was there, that we have had in a while.
I want to say this right now, I love my mother, and there isn't much that I will not do for her. With that being said, She is the one person that I really don't want to see at family gatherings. She can not take a joke, she can joke about other people but if you do it to her, she gets mad and starts an argument. She starts accusing people of belittling her, and gets all upset about the least little thing. I am not putting her down, but this is the truth about her.
Do y'all have a family member that you wish would not come to family functions, if so Why?

I dont mind my boyfriends family at all. I love them dearly. There is no misunderstandings, fights, bickering. They are so close. I cannot stand it when my cousin and her husband and 3 kids come to our functions. They are often uninvited, and they just show up.. and they dont contribute anything. I get mad and generally won't deal with anyone then.. its just a big spoiler to the mood. So I can understand where you are coming from. There comes a time when you just don't want to deal with things any more.

I really do have alot of family members that I really wish would forget where I lived lol and i know that that may sound a little bit mean but thats the honest truth I mean I guess that I love them and all of that but to be honest I really don't like it when they come aroind because they really know how to annoy me and all that!
