I wrote a discussion about abortion and there were a great diversity of answers although the vast majority thought that abortion is a crime and that people should take their responsabilities. I would like to know if those people and others would agree to say that adoption is much better than abortion. In adoption the baby gets to live and become a happy child, the child does suffer when he knows that he is adopted and would like to meet her mother. The actual mother of the vhild also suffers becuase she knows that somewhere outside in the world someone has her baby and that many she has seen him in the street. What do you think is adoption better than abortion.

The two cannot be compared in such a way to say one is better than the other, and I don't think that either can be generalized to fit all situations.
Consider the young woman, just entering a promising career in whatever field, when she is unwillingly impregnated. She cannot continue to work if she is forced to first take the 9 months and then become a parent. Even if she decides to have her baby adopted, she still is forced to carry the child and the trials that come with pregnancy. Both child and mother suffer in this situation. Do you think you have the right to prevent this woman from choosing what to do?
