If someone would have told me that I would be going outside in the middle of a 30 degree temperature night - to take a stuffed dog out to potty, I would have laughed. LOL But that is what I just now did. LOL My Grandkids are here for the Easter vacation. My grandson is 3 years old. He was playing with a stuffed dog. He has named it Fluffy. He brought Fluffy to me and said " Nana, fluffy has to pee and he cant pee in the house" I just looked at him and he continued " Nana we have to take him out to pee." So I get on my shoes and take Fluffy outside at 11 o clock at night when it is 30 degrees outside so it can pee. LOL Now my Grandson is satisified. LOL What are some of the strangest things you have done for a child?

That is so cute, I have a 3 yr. old grandson too, he is such a joy. This is such a fun age. My guy lives here with me, his mom and dad too. I get entertained everyday, he tickles me so much. We are always doing something. We have green eggs and ham, I put food coloring in Ramen noodles, we call them worms. I am a member of my grandsons "band". He has made his own drums, he has a keyboard and a microphone. I love being a gramma and have fun with the kids. Have fun with your little ones.

You are so very fortunate. My grandkids live a 9 hour drive away. I do not get to see them very much so I sure enjoy them when I do get to see them. I love being a Nana too.

Hey I have had green eggs, without the food coloring. They didn't taste much different, but they sure didn't look so hot either. I forgot what the cook did wrong to make them turn out like that, but it was nothing nice, lol.

This is why you need to train all your stuffed animals to use the litterbox.

I have so many, I would have to get a whole shipment of litterboxes, and get a truck load of litter.

When I drove bus, I would pick a little girl up for speech therapy. Her little brother would wait outside, and always threw me hugs, and I always "caught" them. That is a memory I want to keep. A little girl we do not even know crawled up on my hubby's lap at my brother's church today, and petted his face. I guess that fits as well.

Oh thank you for the laugh. That I needed. Worst part is I can picture myself doing the same thing. It's amazing what we will do for kids isn't it? Right now I can't think of a single example for it with what I've done with my niece but I do know I've done similar half baked, crazy things for her. Just part of life I suppose.

How cute.well I guess the strangest thing for me is to try to to teach my six year old son how to catch a baseball when I had not a clue as how to throw the ball to begin with but his dad sloughed the job on to me which made for some hilarious results.of course my son son learned how to catch but his mom never got all that proficent in throwing the ball. i love to go to a baseball game but am sure no pitcher. My son is now almost fifty.

That is way too funny!!!! I don't hae kids, but my husband has lots of them. I bet he could tell you some crazy things he's done to satisfy his kids. Your Doggy story is a great sign that your grandchild is learning how to take care of a real pet. You and your child did a great job raising your grandchild.
