Hello Silentsnow. Luckily for you, I've been spending the greater part of this last year telling my children (11 and 12 year old) what a wonderful childhood I had. After having glared at them for asking me such silly questions like, "Were the streets dirt when you were little?" or my favourite, "Mom, was your favourite movie in colour or black and white?" After I assured my offspring that I indeed had electricty growing up, I told them my most precious childhood memory: my record player. I know, I just dated myself, but my mother had the gift for finding the most wonderful treasures combined in a record. Those were simple stories. Now a days, it would be the DVD's or Blueray that holds the condensed version of our favourite movies. I had to use my imagination while listening to such tracks like "Robinson Crusoe" "Swiss Family Robinson" "Mary Poppins" "Fiddler on the Roof" and other such timeless classics. I also had some wonderful soundtracks like "Burl Ives" and his wonderful Lollypop tree. Thanks for allowing me to share with you my favourite childhood memory.
