How Do You Deal with Your Own Bad Mood?

I am sure all of us have bad mood from time to time, sometimes with reason and sometimes without. How do you deal with your own bad mood? How do you make yourself feel better? I am having one of those bad mood days today (without reason) and I have been calling a missing friend (still missing) and watching DVDs. Then I got pretty annoyed with myself and I decided to go downstairs for a tiny walk and buy some magazines. I left a message on my missing friend's voicemail telling him to give me a call if he is alive. And magically, after I have done all that, I noticed that my mood is getting better. I guess I just needed that tiny break to get out of my house.

I am one of those persons who does not want anyone to see me in a bad mood. I am a very reflective person and just cannot hide my feelings well so I do lose that battle sometimes. I hate feeling mad though and sometimes its almost as if I can feel the bad mood weighing down on my heart so I have to find a way to relieve it. I never stay that way for long though as I am a cheerful person by nature and mostly just need some time out to sort things out in my head sometimes. Taking a walk or listening to some music or just making a lot of noise by croaking and being crazy are ways I've found to ease the mood. (lol)

I'm like you, I get in those bad moods, and I don't like for people to see me that way, because I am generally a cheerful person, also. So, I try to stay to myself, and let things get out of my system, but there are times when that is impossible. I can listen to music, and it helps tremendously! I can't seem to make loud noises and be crazy, when I'm in that way! But my boyfriend is funny and crazy almost all the time, and he can usually make me laugh, and it helps me to get through those bad moods. LOL!

that's what you needed. fresh air and a different view. whenever i'm in a bad mood i just stay away with people because the more i interact with them, the more i get annoyed. so i just stay away from people, maybe bury myself in the computer or watch tv/movie until i feel better.

I like to watch movies or read books when I have a bad mood. Besides, doing some sports will cheer me up. Or I will talk to my very good friends. It seems that talking is the best way to release the depression for women.

Yes sport definitely helps and usually after I go running, I feel a lot better.

Getting out for a little walk usually helps. But maybe this faery will cheer you up a little, too. She is not finished yet, but here she comes flying to you anyway, hoping to make you feel all happy again.

i deal my bad mood most of the time by walking or getting out of the house. but what i really do is to go to cinema and watch a movie. i always find it comforting. if i also want to be alone i go to cinema and watch movies alone. lol.

I either watched TV or DVDs. Sometimes I just go out of the house and hit the mall so I can entertain myself and not dwell on the reason that puts me in a bad mood.

oh i sulk and im really quiet and i lock myself in my room, listening to hard rock music. i hate mingling or going out with people when im not in a good mood.

When I have a bad mood, I usually do the following: 1. Draw and paint. 2. Write an article on the topic which I am annoyed about. 3. Watch an action movie.

Hello wondericequeen, Whenever I am having a bad mood, I will try to remain alone. I act terribly bad whenever I am not in a good mood and I don't want to affect other people's mood by acting stupid. Well, after getting married it is hard to avoid my husband whenever I am not in a mood. He knows me pretty well. He will leave me alone for a few minutes until I come out from the room and talk to him again. I do feel guilty acting like that towards him!

I either watching TV or DVDS,but sometimes it doesn't work. Shouting is a good idea, it's crizy, but works. Mybe sometimes we just need a good rest.

Wondericequeen, sometimes it just takes distracting yourself like yiu did today by getting out of the house. When Im in a bad mood I really try to fix it before I deal with family and friends because Im no good at hiding my bad mood. I usually find a quite place to take a break away from everyone and everything. Sometimes I take a long hot bath or I just go for a drive.
