How can you say you are a true friend???

How can I help him/her? If he/she is not willing too You can't...You are the friend NOT their keeper..Only THEY can help themselves..BUT that doesnt mean you can't still be a true friend..Just be there for them, encourage them to think twice about choices they are making etc and be there to lend comfort, advice etc etc when they ARE ready...

good friends always stay with you when you are in trouble, and stay away when you are successful. if you can do it, then you can see you are a true friend

a true friend is one who is there in both good and bad times,. i think I have fulfilled this to whom I am friend. its proves that i am ready to help them when they need it.

I think one thing should be clear, your friend should know you very well from the onset. you've got to let him know your true colours and if he is under bad influence he can trust you for support if you go to his/her aid. However, if you should him/her who you are. trust you and under any circumstances he doesn't want to heed to your advice, then you allow him/her to get the result of his/her action. you could then be real and geniune friend.
