I was asking myself if there was someone that had bought something from e-bay and he or she didn't recieve the object? What did he do after?

according to ebays writings they themselves are not actually an auction site they are simply a venue much like a private add in a newspaper.
ebay do everything in their power to distance themselves from the sellers and the buyers so they are as far away from blame as can possibly be but truth be told ebay rake in millions for their sellers every year of which you never see any of it being spent making security or buyer liabilities, they do not police their own site they leave it up to the users to report things and even then nothing happens quickly.
Technically ebay itself can not be held accountable for any fraud which takes place within it's web site BUT they also don't actively prevent it or discourage it, i think for the amount of money ebay make they could better invest some of it back into the site to help the buyers and sometimes the sellers.
ebay have made alot of changes over the past 2 years alot of which have not been greeted with open arms and because of that they are loosing sellers and buyers to other sites but until they loose so many that they see it hurting their profits they will never take into concideration anything that the sellers and buyers say.

It's not uncommon to hear about E-bay scams, it's not E-bay, it's the users on it promoting the scams. Typically, one would look at the user rating, so as to see how satisfied other buyers who bought from them were. If they have a bad rating, they most likely have scammed people or not done well. I'm not sure but it's possible some users may receive compensation for any losses due to scammers from ebay.
