who will win this year?your opinion!

I believe in the end it will come down to David Cook, and Carly. Carly though hasn't been as consitant or as inventive as David C. has, nor has David Archuletta. I bet it will be David Cook.

David Cook. I also like Brooke White alot but I don't think she will win. I really like her style.

i think david archuletta will win because he is young and promising. but my bet is MICHAEL JOHNS. i like his voice. my bet is him though i have a feeling that david archuletta will win... very sweet kid.

I like David Archuletta and believe he will do well even maybe the top three but my picks for one and two will have to be Carly Smithson and David Cook! These two are miles ahead of all the others in stage presence, voice control and just plain singing what is best for their style in essence, choosing the right song as Paula, Randy and Simon would say. A few weeks back I would have said Carly would win it hands down but in the last couple of weeks she seems to have turned it down a notch or two which leads me to believe she may not WANT to actually win but just wants the exposure! David cook has NAILED every thing he has sung and his arrangements of the songs are unique and fresh! David Archuletta still has a way to go with stage presence, and maturity. He sure isn't the mature 17 year old we saw in Jordin Sparks last year. Don't get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a little immature at 17 but it may hurt him in this competition.

I think David Cook will win this year.

I like David Cook and David Archuleta, I want them to be the winner either one of them.

It is indeed true, we can never tell how the voting will go. Look at what happened to Melinda last year, everyone felt that she would sweep the competition but she was voted out and came in third. My thoughts, I think it is going to be another man this time.

I want Ramielle Malubay to win the american idol but when I hear Davud Cook he really rocks . He really is a good singer and the way he express his song. It's just that he need not to argue simon because simon has a consructive criticism which they can use to improve their singing. I really bet David Cook.

I am not very crazy about David Archuleta... i think he is just another boy who can sing... with 10 contestant still standing... it is still too early to predict who the winner will be... but if Brooke White continue in choosing the right song for her... she has a big chance... But it is obvious that Carly Smithson and David Cook have the best vocals... so we still need to wait until only 5 or 6 are left in the competitions...

david archuleta has a very good voice, almost a voice of an angel.. and his rendition of "the long and winding road" of the beattles is a winning piece.. he really made his own version he did not sang exactly like the original he made it his own by adding a soulful vibe.. david archuleta is simply amazing and.... OHM.... he's gorgeous too

My two favorites are David Archuleta (sp) and Brooke White. They both have great voices. It's still too early and always so hard to tell. You just never know how the country is going to vote. Renee
