what if someone responds harshly to you?

i got a rather funny response to a discussion i responded to recently and i really feel bad about it.the discussion happens to be one of those that did niot have any response,,i checked it out as it made a reference to a site i went to the siter and asked the guy that started the discussion for a little clarification and his response was funny,what would you ido if you got such respone,

Till now i have never got a harsh reply but if i do get a harsh or a funny reply then i will simply ignor it. I dont belive in repying back and giving same response. but i would never reply to that persons's discussion ever. I think that such people make discussion interesting sometime but i peronally never reply hashly.

funny this is the first time i ever got something like that though someone had responded harshly to my post but i responded in the best way i could and he personally pm an apology to me and i think that is the way it should be well sometimes things we do that disturbs us from moving forward ,i have put him behind me

thank you and i always believe that at mylot things are quite different and i guess its about people and just who they are i did respond and i know he will fire back but i dont think i need to respond to whatever he says now cos no one will ever know the difference

i thought about that but i dont wish to be the reason why someone will get banned form mylot it will not leave a good feeling on my conscience,i will rather ignore him

i thought of doing that ut changed my mind i wont be the reason for his being banned here but if he goes on like that i know it wont be long someone else will complain about him and who knows what the result will be

I wouldn't waste your time to respond back to such responses. It only propagates that type of behavior further. Just ignore it and contine on to the more meaningful discussions.

thanks for your response ,incidentally ,i responded to the guyt and gave him a piece of my mind but now i just feel i shouldnt have even responded,the best would have been to forget about him and avoid any other posts by him but well if he responds again,i know what to do now,ignore,ignore ,ignore,thank you

I think it would depend on how funny the response was? I mean if the person was down and out rude with no reason i would bring them up about it and their lack of simple manners. Maybe they took what you said out of context and felt offended, hard to know without seeing the full discussion really.

ok you are quite right but i think i should tell you who it was,its xillusion and the post was titled"get your creative here"maybe you can just check it out and let me know what you think about my response and his response,if you think am wrong then i will apologise to him/her

I think I would kind of take it personally. Some people do not take their discussions they make seriously. I have responded and was concerned to alot of people here at Mylot too and some of them never respond or they respond with something that has nothing to do with the subject at all. I tried to show them an interest and they made a joke of it. What a waste of time?

yes some of us just post something to add up nos without giving prior thought to those who will be reading,but i have let it go as one of those things,but i was angry at first

i think that ios an area i never gave a thought and i guess i will consider that,after my response to him i have not seen or read any post from him probably he is just a passing member on mylot ,you know?the kind of guy that only logs in once every month i thgink he has only about 15 posts so far
