I have seen in the television in a cooking demo that there are certain flowers that are edible. Roses, marigold, hibiscus and bougaivilla maybe eaten as flower salad or added in salads. Cauliflower and broccoli are classified as flowers as well. I have not tried eating them yet. I am not really used to eating except of course for broccoli and cauliflower. In our country we eat banana blossoms. Have you tried eating flowers added to your salad or are there any more recipes other than salads which these flowers are added?

Marigold? Wow! I can't imagine eating that or added into my salad or any meal for that matter. That sounds a little different for me. Well, if it is something good, then we might as well try sometime.
I tried a rose ice cream with rose petals in it, it's creamy sweet and really tastes like rose, so fresh. You will feel confident speaking, your breath smells like rose too. T'was awesome.

I have put Nasturtiums blossoms and Chive Blossoms in salads at one time. They gave the salad a peppery taste. I have made tea with rose blossoms too. it was a bit bland though. Squash Blossoms dipped in a tempera and deep fried are something that I have wanted try.
Here is a web with many edible flowers as well as suggestion on how to use them.

I never had any flower in my menu except the broccoli, cauliflower and the papaya blossom. I would like to try the bougainvillea in my salad since my father have them a lots in his garden. But then, i don't think that flower have a taste or even a smell, then how it can be tasty if it is like that?
