How long does it take you to read a book?

It only takes me about an hour to read a book. It depends on the length of the book, and also whather I enjoy the book or not. If I don't find it interesting, it takes me forever to finish it. How fast do you read?

It really depends on the book. I havent had a whole lot of time lately so my book reading has been reduced to while I'm on my lunch break at work. Sometimes if I dont have much to do I can finish a book in a day or two.

It really depends on the book and how long it, how interested I am in it. I can read several chapters in an hour, but I also like to read slow so I can gather everything the author is saying. Being a lit. major I look at numerous other things that most people don't look at when they read a novel.

This is a great question! Usually I can read a book I'm really enjoying in just two or three days but at the weekend I got an e-mail from Readitswapit saying someone wanted to swap books with me and when I went to get the book to put in an envelope I realised I hadn't read it yet. So I had to read the book in just a day - and I managed it! Luckily the book was brilliant, a real page turner so it wasn't too difficult to get it read fast.

it depends on how interesting the book is and long it is. if i like the book, it will take me at least a month. because i like to feel the emotions embedded in between lines.

I spend a few days reading a book. Most of the books I read also take more than an hour even if one is a super fast reader. I read reasonably quick, but I also like to read in a tempo that ensures I get the most out of the experience

It also depends on the length for me too and when I am willing to pick one up which isn't often. I stay away from the story books and only read the ones I can learn something from. I have two right now I do not know when I will finish.

I can read pretty fast. but i take atleast 3 days when i read a book because i like to ponder over things in the book. But if its a fast paced work like an adventure or a detective novel, my reading picks up speed. for me the content, language and interest level decides the reading speed.

I used to get through books really fast, I love reading. I do not get as much time to read though as I used to and so it takes me a bit longer these days, which is a shame as there an awful lot of books I would like to read.

I have never read a book in less than a day and a half and that was almost full time reading. I can read 2 books a week if Im not busy. When I am busy a book will last me all week or longer. I like to enjoy reading, and would not like to rush it. I think you cannot appreciate the style of writing or the symbolic meaning in a novel if you read too quickly.
