Invite them over to dinner at your house (your territory wher eyou are comfortable) fix them a meal, and tell them over dessert.

The longer you wait, the harder it will become. Maybe they already know, but can't accept it, so they don't want to think about it. You need to talk to them when you feel the time is right. It could take a long time, but eventually you will know when the right time is. Good Luck!!

Why u tell them?

It would help if I knew a little bit about your parents. Are they very religious? Would they care if you were gay or not? Are they very active in the church? Are you an adult and living on your own? If you're an adult living on your own, I would do what the other respondent said and invite them over for dinner and tell them that you have something very important and serious to talk about. That way, they can prepare for something that might be upsetting.
