What is your favorite book and why?

My favorite is the alchemist. i felt so much peace reading that book and it is by far the best book i have read.

There are soo many good books and Authors out there it is soo hard to accept just one as my favorite. However there is one that I absolutley love and thats " The best of James Herriot, Favourite memories of a country Vet". I read this book for the first time when I was 12. I had recieved it from my Grandmother who at the time had Cancer. Its a huge book and to be honest I thought I would hate it because it wasnt the norm for me. I fell in love with it. He is soo discriptive and the way the words just melt of the page and give you a fantastic imaginitive view is incredible. It made me want to be a Veternarian for the longest time growing up. I didnt end up as a vet, but a nurse helping people instead, but all the same I have to say this started the road into the medical field for me. Its a book I will read over and over again until Im well too old to even read the words. However I cant wait for my daughter to get to the age where I can pass it on to her because she I hope will have the same view of it as I did at her age.
