Pre Labor Symptoms

I think my body is preparing for labor. My cervix has been a much higher temperature than usual which means my cervix is thinning in preperation. I wish I knew when labor was going to begin though this wait is the longest of my life. Is anyone going through these same stages of pregnancy? So far I have had menstral like pains, intense back pains and contractions that are less than noticeable and are more noticeable when I am walking around. But my contractions aren't painful which it sounds weird but I am hoping they become more painful because I am eager for labor to start. I am more than ready to produce my own first life and hop on the elliptical machine!! My due date is April 12th, about 19 days away but I am so hoping it comes sooner. Anyone remember experiencing this situation during the preperation of labor?

I think you might be in the early stages of labour now, my friend. It wouldn't hurt to be checked out, as with my second, I was told I was not in labour, and most of my pain was in my back, in the way you explain. However, my water broke and they walked me down the corridor to the labour room, only just in time for his coming. So... I don't want to worry you, but I would just like to get it checked out if it were me, because your labour may be as mine was, completely different to the first, too!
Brightest Blessings.

If your contractions are that close together, I would certainly at least phone and tell them, then go in if they tell you to. You water could have broken any time, without you noticing, like when you visited the bathroom, so you can't really go by that so much as the contractions.

No mine was like instant... My water broke and that's all it took, Pain city was on the way...lol Everything happened so fast I didn't know what hit me.. Honest.. I think if I were you though I'd be on the phone calling someone... Or you could be just having false labor as well... I would have to say once your contractions are 5 minutes apart and you are close to a hospital get there fast cause having a baby can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 1-2 days.. All depends how your body works... If you know what I mean.. My sister was in labor for 48 hours until they finally induced her labor.. Glad I wasn't her... lol

Thanks, it turns out they were prelabor symptoms I finally had him on April 4th, I was eight centemeters dialated after 32 hours so they decided to induce me a little bit. I had an epidural at 7 centemeters up until that point it was painful, I had back labor and it was very painful for me but as soon as he came out I forgot all about the pain.

Aaaahhhh...hard to imagine that was me just three months ago.
Congrats on your pregnacy! If you thought pregnancy was fun, wait until you have strangers come into your room to check on your whoo hoo. At least they tell you their names and their occupation before helping themselves.
With my last pregnancy, it was my fifth child. I wasn't due until January 15, but Christmas day he came. From what you've listed, all you're waiting for now is the "bloody show" or "mucus plug". When I lost that, he was born three days later.

It sounds like you may be going into labor. If I were you I would be calling the doctor and see if he may want you to come in to be checked. I have always been induced so I only know what that feels like. I am currently 25 weeks pregnant and I know how long the wait seems but this will end all too soon and before you know it you will be holding your little one in your arms.

Its so great hearing from so many mothers, I will let you guys know when the labor comes, I have had frequent contractions back to back all day long but they are not painful yet so I am still waiting. They are extremely frequent though I cant tell when one ends and another begins. I might go in tonight to see for sure where my prcess is I am so excited! I dont want to wait any longer!

Hello jenna! It seems that there are lots of Preggies here in my lot. Two of my mylot friends just gave birth.
With my last pregnancy, I did not even noticed that my water was already broken. Around 1 am, cannot sleep because I can feel unpainful contractions. I was only able to see my OB at 10 am and I was already dilated with 4cm opening. I was put in the delivery room at 12:50 and must have given birth by 2:50 but my baby did not come out naturally so they have to open me up.
If you are experiencing contractions and uneasiness, its better of you will see your OB at once. First borns are either two weeks early or two weeks late. Most second borns are prone to premature births, and maybe it was true because my 2nd child was only 35/36 weeks.

The only thing that I remember is i feel the pain at 12am and give birth at 10am... first I didn't know that i am going to give birth that time because my mother said it is not my due date... I give birth at june 26 and my due date is july 15... They use to tell me to do some walk every morning, don't sleep too much... But i did not listen... That time i ask my mother to call a midwife because i can't go to the hospital anymore... The midwife tells me to stand and walk that day but still i want to stay sitting while do the labor... Nobody knows from my neighbor that i give birth because its quiet upstairs and it only took me few hours and there it is a new angel...they always tell me that my giving birth is so easy unlike others took 2 days just for labor...

Yeah it sure seems like along wait, even i was immensely curious for my labor to start and it strated when i didnt even know, it just happened at night, when i was in a deep sleep, when all of a sudden, my water broke and pains started and they ended soon after we reached the hospital ,after my deleivery, though the pains were immense, im glad it was short and i have my baby boy......

hi jenna..
my youngest is 4-years-old now.. and i am trying very hard to remember the last days of that pregnancy and the 4 before that...
i do remember my baby still moved a lot then.. probably trying to stretch in the very small space she's in.. everytime she 'stretched' it would feel like my tummy would explode.. and because she was already in 'her position' (head in the pelvic).. i could almost feel her feet up in my chest... pretty difficult to breath.. sit, walk or even lie down... the doctor joked that she is just too impatient to come out - that she wants a 'bigger space' to play in...
...i did have early deliveries - all five of my children were delivered 10~14 days much earlier than they were due.
good luck to you... and do take care.

I experienced the same feeling when I was in my laboring stage just September last year. Actually, more than noticeable pain in your back, tummy and around your hips are the signs of laboring. I can't imagine where those pains came from at that time because whatever position I made the pain was still there and as minutes gone by, the pain became intense. I really wanted my baby to come out just to stop the pain but it made me more excited... One sign that the baby is coming, except for the broken water bag, is that a blood will come out together with your urine.
For now, enjoy your every minute because it will be a big history in your life once you see your baby... Congrats and Goodluck!!!
