I got to try the wii this weekend with my eight year old granddaughter! It was soooo much fun but since she has had it for a while she totally kicked my butt at most of the games. We bowled...boxed....did tennis...then carnival games. Have you tried the wii and did you like it?

My 7 year old cousin (surprise baby) had a birthday this month and my uncle bought it for her. She dragged a few of us downstairs to play the bowling game. After 15 minutes of creating our characters, we began. I don't know what got into me, but my competitive streak arose. Erica, my little cousin left during the game so my other cousin and her boyfriend became my sole competitors. Well, I guess it doesn't matter if you are a great bowler like my cousin's boyfriend because I spanked them both! It is very addicting...I must admit. By the end of the game we were all tempted to run out and get one.

My daughter and family got a Wii game system and she brought it to our house when they come to visit and we had such fun with it. Of course after she left we were already hooked and the wii's are so hard to get ahold of. Last year right before summer we got lucky and a store near us finally got 6 of them in right before I called them. You can sure get some exercise with those. My grandson can also beat me in most games.

I did awesome at bowling but the golf........well it beat me! LOL....there are some nursing homes around here that have started to use them for the residents. My sister's friend works as recreation director at one...she had a guy that weights over 400 lbs that is in a wheel chair that did the boxing....it was the most exercise he had had in years and it just lifted his spirtis so much! I guess the number one game for them is bowling as they can sit in their wheel chairs and do it! It's nice that something came along that is so enjoyable and can help so many...

Nope, I haven't played any games on the WII system. Don't know a thing about it. Maybe it's time I learn from our step-grandchildren who are in town visiting. I've heard alot about the system and how much fun it is from the guys I work with on the weekends. Seems they spend hours and hours playing many of the games.

Oh I tried this at a friends house at Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed too. My little boy (4) played a game better than some of the adults LOL, he managed to fly a spitfire aeroplane and do all sorts with it, he managed to crash a bit playing Cars but we all had lots of fun. Wii are supposed to be the most active of these types of games because of the sports package they do so you can exercise whilst playing. Intend to get one at some stage in the future. Glad you had fun with it. Ellie :D
