Hi, just wondering if there's any mommies or daddies out there that could answer this question for me...my son just turned two months old and for the last couple days he's been saliving a lot, making bubbles, and always has his hands in his mouth! and when i put a toy to his mouth he wants to rub his gums on it, and on my finger the same thing. Could he already be teething??

Yes it's possible. My oldest daughter (now 11) got her first 2 bottom teeth in the front by the time she turned 3 months old. They had been coming up to the surface then going back down again. It was horrific since she was my first and I didn't know what to do. I started giving her a cold wash cloth to chew on and rub on her gums since she was my first.

it could be possible some kids cut their first tooth very quickly, keep checking his gum to see if a tooth is trying to break through

Yes, he can be, he can have teeth of course just under his gums and they will be tender for a long time before they cut. They may cut early or late. Every child is different. My first child was cutting teeth at about thirteen months but he was chewing and drooling way before that. My second child cut his first teeth around 11 months.

it definately sounds like he is teething, and it may take a few months before that first tooth actually erupts. he may start running a low grade fever as the tooth gets nearer to appearing.
some children are even born with a few teeth already erupted!
I would expect his first tooth to make an appearance around 4-5 months of age.
