favorite type of music

im sure this has been asked at least a couple times but this way it makes it easier for me to track and see whats your favorite music, band, and why?

I like a huge variety, but I guess if I have to pick my absolute favorite I would probably say Merle Haggard and the Strangers. The words to their songs just seem to tell a story.
