As I understand it, you get paid for contributing to discussions, starting your own discussions, and uploading photos in your different interests. The more time and thought you put into the discussions the more you could earn. I believe there is a FAQ guide on the site. You might want to check that out for a more in-depth explanation. well for me, I'm in the process of finding out which sites/programs actually pays when they say they would. so i was also referred to myLot while browsing around the internet. however, finding the right discussion is a bit hard for me 'cause the topics are scattered and not that much organized so i don't really post much. i hope it does pay, though
